Authorized evaluation meeting on high education of mechanical and automation engineering was held in Shaw Convention Hall on Oct. 18. Delegates from domestic universities and institutions, some representatives from the School attended the meeting. 
     Prof. Xueqing Qiu, vice president of SCUT, addressed on the meeting and expressed the appreciation to the delegates. He indicated that it is good opportunity to learn advanced education system from the delegates and would promote SCUT to get more progress in education of mechanical and automation engineering by this meeting.
     Prof. Xianmin Zhang, associate dean of the School, reported the status of education of mechanical and automation engineering in SCUT, including discipline feature, faculty team, student education and facility. The guest delegates and hosting attendees discussed some corresponding topics focused on discipline evaluation.
