Acura Technology Ltd (ATL), a leading supplier of electrical connectors and cables assemblies to the PDA and Handset markets, is seeking four Mechanical Engineers to join the ATL Asia Design Center. ATL Design Centers have taken products from conception to production for numerous customers including Motorola, Nokia, and MicroCell (Panda), 3Com, Palm, Handspring, and Sharp.
ATL Engineers are responsible for carrying out a wide array of engineering and project management activities. These activities include working with customers on new product development and mechanical design. ATL Engineers are also be responsible for creating and maintaining solid models, product drawings and specifications, producing prototypes, and testing ATL products and processes.
Candidates seeking the Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Design positions should be familiar with (i) ProEngineer and/or the basics of solid modeling, (ii) engineering statics, strength of materials, and general principles of stress, strain, and strength. Candidates must hold a university degree in engineering.
Excellent candidates are customer oriented and have excellent written and oral communication skills (both English and Mandarin). Candidates should also be able to excel as an international design team member, be a team player, and interface with cross-functional engineering and business groups within ATL.
