On March 2, the first day of the new semester, classroom teaching atthe School of Journalism and Communication proceeded smoothly and in an orderlymanner. Students began their new semester with high spirits and good classroomdiscipline. YongXu, Vice President of South China University of Technology, led ateam to inspect the first-day teaching arrangements at the University TownCampus. School leaders, including Secretary Zhiwei Tan, Associate Dean Yu Zhou,Deputy Secretary Tao Liu and student counselors of all grades, visited teachingvenues to conduct a thorough inspection and supervision of classroom teaching.
The School focused on inspecting course attendance and classroomdiscipline, while also communicating with teachers and students on site tolearn about course arrangements, teaching support needs and other practicalmatters. The inspection showed that teaching order was generally sound acrosscourses. Teachers arrived early, were well prepared and delivered classes in aclear and organized manner. Classroom interaction was designed in line with thecharacteristics of journalism and communication education. Students wereenergetic and attentive, actively participating in class discussions andinteractions, creating a positive classroom atmosphere.
Classroom teaching is a core part of talent cultivation. The collegehas always upheld the principle of prioritizing undergraduate education and hascontinued to promote the regular development of teaching style, learning styleand class culture in line with the strengths and features of journalism andcommunication education. Moving forward, the college will continue to pay closeattention to course teaching, support teachers and students in jointly creatinga positive learning atmosphere, and improve teaching quality through rigorousteaching and diligent learning.
