On the afternoon of March 27, Tian Shubin, Vice Chairman of the China Science and Technology News Association, former General Manager of Xinhua News Agency, and former Chairman and President of Xinhua.net, was appointed as an adjunct professor at South China University of Technology and delivered an academic report.  

In his academic report titled "Global Economic 'Turbulent Cycles' and the Era of Technological Dividends", Tian Shubin analyzed the new global economic landscape. He astutely captured cutting-edge economic developments, first proposing the concept of the "era of technological dividends", and dissecting the causes and unique characteristics of global economic "turbulent cycles". He pioneered the idea that global value chain restructuring has entered an important trend of the "era of technological dividends", and focused on explaining the innovation mechanisms and paradigms of this era. The report, combined with rich case studies, provided an in-depth explanation of the underlying logic of technological reversals, the characteristics of the era of technological democracy, and the evolutionary path of the era of technological dividends.
