In November 2023, South China University of Technology was approved to establish a doctoral research station in Journalism and Communication. In the year since its establishment, three researchers have been approved for General Program of China Postdoctoral Science Foundation projects, and one researcher has been granted a National Social Science Fund of China (NSFC) Youth Program project.

As a talent pool, with the strong support of the university, our postdoctoral research station has strengthened institutional and standardized management and training, focused on the construction of "New Liberal Arts", continuously increased investment in scientific research, cultivated postdoctoral teams, deepened interdisciplinary research, improved talent training, grasped the direction of research projects, truly implemented interdisciplinary studies, and effectively improved the ability of journalism and communication studies to solve major problems.

In the future, the college will further improve the construction of postdoctoral research stations, improve the working mechanism, actively carry out postdoctoral recruitment and training, and strive to cultivate a group of high-level innovative young talents in journalism and communication to serve the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the needs of national strategies.
