Recently, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education announced the 2023 provincial first-class undergraduate course recognition results. The School of Journalism and Communication of SCUT authorized 3 first-class provincial offline undergraduate courses: “Advertising Planning and Creativity”, “Financial News” and “Media Ethics and Regulations”

So far, the School has nine first-class undergraduate courses at the provincial level, and four at the national level have been approved.

In recent years, the school has implemented the fundamental task of establishing morality and cultivate talents, and promoted the reform and development of talent cultivation. The communication major and advertising major have been sequentially authorized as a national first-class undergraduate major construction site. And the journalism major has been authorized as a provincial first-class undergraduate major construction site. In the future, the school will maintain its characteristic of the intersection of Arts and Engineering, enhance the development of the curriculum, professionals, and professors, and encourage ongoing enhancement of talent’s caliber.
