Li Sha, a 2019 undergraduate of the School of Journalism and Communication of South China University of Technology and a member of the 21st postgraduate teaching group, was killed in an accident on May 9, 2020, on her way to Longsheng Primary School, and her young life was fixed forever on the teaching road.

 After the incident, Li Sha's deeds were widely spread, causing strong repercussions across the country and touching countless people, and was posthumously awarded the titles of Most Beautiful College Student, National Outstanding Youth League Member and Good Person of China.

 To commemorate Li Sha, who gave her precious life for the cause of teaching, the Li Sha Teaching Fund was established to support the poor students and the teaching activities of the team members in the mission schools. The alumni of the college actively support and lend a helping hand, donating a large amount of money to promote Li Sha's spirit and support the cause of poverty alleviation.
