CHEN Xi

 





 

 

CHEN Xi is an associate professor at the School of Journalism and Communication, South China University of Technology (SCUT). She earned her Ph.D. in Film and Television Arts at Peking University. She also had academic work experience as a postdoctoral fellow at Cornell University, USA.

 

Her research areas include film and television communication, audio-visual media creative content ecology and its development in media/creative/cultural industries and other related research areas. She is also engaged in these areas: screenwriting, film and television criticism, and academic translation in media- and art-related fields. She has received more than 10 humanities and social science research grants as the principal investigator, including grants at the ministerial and provincial-level and those from provincial departments and municipal governments. Besides, she actively worked as a major research team member in several social science research grants, including the Key Project (Grant) of the National Social Science Fund of China and the Key Project (Grant) of the National Radio and Television Administration.
