On November 20, the school of Journalism and Communication ushered in the 2021 Alumni Homecoming Day.The homecoming activity was themed as Carp leaping over the Pearl River, The most memorable is the new biography. We warmly welcomed the new biography students to go home. The activity attracted more than 30 new biography alumni from all over the world to participate in the activity, sharing the campus time and discussing the friendship between teachers and students.

At about 10:00 in the morning, the sign-in place gradually became lively, and the alumni arrived as scheduled. Returning to the campus after a long absence, everyone asked each other eagerly and sighed with emotion. The college carefully prepared a signature wall and props at the sign-in desk, and alumni took pictures and punched in, reconnecting themselves with the big family of Xinchuan College. At 2:30 p.m., a homecoming alumni symposium began with the participation of college leaders and faculty representatives.

At the symposium, Su Hongyuan, dean of the college, introduced the achievements of the college in recent years. He said that after long-term development, the school has a complete faculty, a strong academic atmosphere, complete hardware and software facilities, and profound academic resources. Its discipline ranking ranks top 10% in the newly released 2021 Best Discipline Ranking of Soft Science in China.

Afterwards, the alumni spoke one by one, introducing their work experience and perception based on their own industries, and expressing their heartfelt gratitude to the College.They said that The School is their Alma mater, and the New School of Communication will remain the same forever. No matter when they go anywhere, they will always remember that they are the new descendants of the School.

At the end of the event, Secretary Feng Xiangyang of the party committee of the college expressed her gratitude to the alumni for their sharing. She said that the construction and development of the college has achieved initial results. On this basis, a lot of support from alumni is needed to promote the better development of the college. As she highlighted, we cannot forget the original intention and should always be attached to the college, and the alumni can share their valuable experience with the undergraduate students, to help the construction and development of the college.

After the symposium, the leaders, teachers and alumni of the college visited the library to be built in the school. The alumni said that the hardware facilities of the college are getting better and better, and they expressed their expectations for the future development of the college in addition to their joy and pride.

After the visit, Yin Mukui (2004) and Sun Zetian (2005) came to the site of the alumni theme sharing meeting and had face-to-face communication with the students.The sharing meeting was hosted by Zhan Shuling, a 2012 alumnus of our college. The atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant, and the response was warm.Yin mukui encouraged students to cherish their time on campus and maintain the attitude and habit of lifelong learning. She said that after entering the society, it is a process of settling down. As a young generation, we should take the initiative to seize opportunities and realize our social value.

Then Sun Zetian shared his business story with us in humorous language, which made the atmosphere more active. As the founder of the press corps of the university, Sun Zetian also had a positive communication with several members of the press corps. Finally, he called on everyone to come back to the college more often after graduation and remember the cultivation of the College.

At the end of the activity, the leaders, teachers and alumni came to the downstairs of the college and took a warm group photo. Their smiling faces were filled with their love for boxing.

Carp jump pearl water bank, and the most memorable is a new biography, the former ivory tower in the young rushed to each place, grow into the industry backbone. This short gathering let us regain the original aspiration of youth and share the new friendship. I hope all the new descendants of Chinese Workers can stay true to their original aspirations and go further in the future. No matter when and where, Chinese workers' new legacy will always be our warmest memories!
