The work ‘The Collision of poison and Independence’: Revealing the Elderly drug addicts won the third prize in the competition. The work was completed by CAI Tiantian, Ding Siqi, Liu Yu, Wan Ziqi and Gu Xiangfeng. With the long-term development of drug control in China, the total number of drug users is gradually decreasing, but the number of elderly drug users is increasing instead of decreasing.Behind the growth of the data is the loss of the entire elderly group in their later life. Driven by data, the work shows the social causes behind elderly drug users and the urgent problems to be solved in promoting related work. The work calls on society to pay more attention to the elderly drug users, strengthen the popularization of anti-drug education knowledge for the elderly, and take effective measures to prevent the elderly from becoming isolated from the society. On the road to drug control, no group should be ignored.
