According to the university's Fight against new pneumonia No.13: notice on the strict implementation of the school epidemic prevention and control work ten must requirements, the School of Journalism and Communication quickly set up by the class (grade) director, counselors, student party members, student cadres and other members of the student management grid The person-to-person system ensures that no one is left out  and strictly implements the daily report, zero report system for student health and location information. All students are required to fill out the school system “I am OK”. For students in Hubei, Wenzhou and other epidemic prevention and control key areas, the School established one person, one book detailed records, to ensure timely feedback on abnormal situations and close attention on special circumstances; For the senior students, the School followed each student's employment progress, thesis progress, etc.

To strengthen the ideological education and value leadership of students during the epidemic, and to motivate the Party members and student cadres to play a leading role, an Initiative Letter to Party Branches and All Party Members and an Initiative Letter to All Student Cadres were published on the College's official WeChat account, urging all student Party members and student cadres to take immediate action, respond to the call, follow the command and actively support the epidemic prevention and control work. At the same time, the School actively organized youth members to participate in the cloud flag-raising ceremony of the new semester, guiding students to fight the epidemic and overcome the difficulties together with the motherland with full of fighting spirit; and also actively organized youth members to participate in the online Youth Learning activity to learn about the epidemic prevention and control. The War on Epidemic works collection order was issued, and cultural works on the theme of War on Epidemic such as news works, poetry and prose, photography and painting, creative advertising, and short videos based on the characteristics of students' majors were collected and used to help prevent and control the epidemic and convey positive energy, which combined patriotic education with integrity and gratitude education. And six issues of selected anti-epidemic works have been released up to now.

At the same time, the school actively organized students to participate in various online volunteer services. According to the requirements of the university's Anti-New Pneumonia No. 18: Notice on the Formation of Youth Epidemic Volunteer Strike Team to Join the Campus Epidemic Prevention and Control Battle, we set up a youth team consisting of Undergraduates and postgraduates, who were divided into four working groups, including checking information, publicizing and reporting, creating works, and psychological counseling, with a total of more than 70 people.
