On the evening of April 29, 2021, the 2021 Annual Conference of Guangdong Advertising Association(GAA) was successfully held at Shangri-La Hotel, Guangzhou. Zhang Guohua, President of the China Advertising Association, Qiu Xiaolian, Secretary-General of the Legal Professional Committee, Feng Xin, Director of the Advertising Department of Guangdong Market Supervision Administration, Lu Hui, Deputy Director, Tong Hui, Deputy Director of the Advertising Department of Guangzhou Market Supervision Administration, Guangdong Province Advertising Chen Dilong, president of the association, and more than 300 representatives of association members from across the Guangdong attended the award ceremony.

Among the 2020 GAA Education Awards presented at the ceremony, Professor Duan Chunlin, Professor Han Hongxing, and Associate Professor She Shihong from the Department of Brand Communication of our school were awarded the Excellent Education Awards. Chen Yonglan and Li Ruihong from the 2016 advertising class were awarded the Excellent Student Awards. These awards fully affirm the contribution of our professors in cultivating advertising talents and the achievements of students in the field of advertising.

It is reported that the GAA “Education Award” consists of four sub-categories, namely Excellent Student Award, Excellent Education Award, Outstanding Contribution Award and Lifetime Achievement Award. The award aims to inspire more young students to be passionate about advertising and join the advertising industry, and meanwhile encourage more teachers to devote themselves to advertising education and cultivate outstanding talents.

Guangdong Advertising Association was established in 1984.
