Recently, the 13th National College Student Advertising Art Competition (hereinafter referred to as Daguang Competition) came to an end. After fierce competition, our college won 19 provincial awards and 10 national awards, covering 4 categories: graphic, video, planning, and copywriting. Three instructors --- Chu Dongai, Jiao Wei, Zhang Buzhong --- were rated as excellent instructors.

In order to cooperate with the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic, on November 27, the summary meeting of the Guangdong Province competition of this year's Daguang Competition was held online. A total of 111 colleges and 264 colleges and departments participated in the competition in the Guangdong Division of this year's Daguang Competition. The scale of entries reached 17,292 groups, an increase of 11%, 44% and 25% over the previous year, respectively, setting a new record high. After careful and rigorous preliminary and final review by the judges, a total of 2708 groups of works stood out in the end. Among them, our school won 19 awards, including 4 first prizes, 9 second prizes, and 6 third prizes.

From December 8th to 10th, the 13th Daguang Competition of Chinese College Students' Good Creativity Discipline Competition Results Display Cloud Ceremony was held. This year, 1,679 colleges and universities participated in the competition, nearly 1.3 million people participated, and 481,947 groups of works participated. A total of 165 first prizes, 469 second prizes, 1100 third prizes, and 3817 excellence awards were awarded. The students of our college demonstrated an outstanding performance, winning 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, and 5 excellence awards, which fully demonstrated the achievements of practical teaching in our college.

In recent years, our school has insisted on promoting learning through competition, integrating competition into teaching, and encouraging students to participate in subject competitions in various ways, including exemption of registration fees, credits for professional comprehensive practice courses, and bonus points for comprehensive tests, so as to stimulate students’ enthusiasm Create inspiration, improve students' comprehensive abilities such as application and practice ability, teamwork ability, etc., in order to cultivate compound talents who can better meet the needs of society. Training both physical skills and mental intelligence of students, our school continues to promote the combination of competition and education, and improve the quality of talent training.
