Dr. Xiaojie Cao received his PhD from the University of Auckland in 2016 and now is the deputy dean and Associate Professor in the School of Journalism and Communication at South China University of Technology. His research and teaching interests lie in news ethics, media technologies, migrant media and identities. He has published in Chinese journals such as Journalism & Communication, Shanghai Journalism Review and Journal of Overseas Chinese History Studies. Dr. Cao has been the principal investigator of several projects, including a National Social Science Foundation project and a Ministry of Education project.
