Students 4K micro-video public service advertising works have achieved good results
On August 16, 2018, the first Guangdong Youth Original Excellent 4K Micro Video and Public Service Advertising Appraisal public welfare works review ended in Guangzhou. South China University of Technology won one first prize, one second prize and two excellent prizes in this competition. The number of winners is among the highest in the participating units.

First prize work "Life is not a drama"
This competition is aimed at the youth of the province, Students and professional radio and television producer compete on the same stage according to the unified standards, which made this competition fierce. Professor Zhang Buzhong, the director of the college, helped directed the public service advertisement “Life is not a drama” directed by Liu Bowen. With the help of Cantonese opera culture, he emphasized the importance of anti-corruption and honesty to the audience and won the first prize of horizontal screen. The Disciplinary Inspection Committee of the South China University of Technology, the Academic Affairs Office of South China University of Technology, and the School of Journalism and Communication of South China University of Technology gave many supports to the equipment, funds, and venues. The works have been polished many times and finally achieved good results. In addition, Professor Zhang Buzhong’s guidance on the public service advertisement “Multi-Patience” directed by graduate student Wang Feng focuses on the topic of popular Alzheimer’s disease, using contrast, metaphor and other techniques to tell a touching story and win the second prize in the horizontal screen category. Two works from second grade undergraduate students won the award for outstanding works in the vertical screen category.
This event was co-sponsored by the Guangdong Provincial Press and Publication Bureau of Radio and Television, the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Guangdong Network Audiovisual New Media Association, the Guangdong Provincial Press, Publication and Broadcasting Bureau, and the Shenzhen Tencent Computer System Co., Ltd. and other units. The evaluation received a total of 147 public service advertisements from various institutions and individuals, and finally selected public service advertisements (horizontal screen), public service advertisements (vertical screen), 17 public welfare animation award-winning works, and 10 outstanding works.
