On the afternoon of April 8, the launching ceremony of the China (Guangzhou) International Documentary Film Festival (hereinafter referred to as “Guangzhou International Documentary Festival”), the golden kapok film festival 2018 college tour and the 2018 Chinese University Documentary Film Competition were held at the Mega-University campus. At the launching ceremony, student representatives from 13 Guangzhou universities were awarded the “Golden kapok” campus ambassador honor certificate, followed by the documentary Battlefield Reporter. The film is the shortlist for the final evaluation of the 2017 Guangzhou International Documentary Film Festival. This fast-paced documentary made the audience follow the footsteps of Jess Rosenfeld, the Canadian independent journalist, and traveled through the war-torn Middle East to learn about the local geopolitical situation and how news practices in the Internet age will change. After the show was over, the famous documentary director Zhou Bing took the theme of “not forgetting the beginning of the heart, always has to be always” and spoke around the documentary film making experience, the filming experience and the back story, and pointed out that there are three keys that are indispensable for the documentary creation. It is reported that the 2018 Golden kapok Film Festival Exhibition will be held in 100 universities from April to May.
