The Three Minutes+ Cultural Proposal Creative Contest was Held in Our Institute
On March 29th, hosted by the School of Journalism and Communication of SCUT and Jiulongtou Information Technology Co., Ltd., the “Three Minutes+” micro-film creative proposal contest was held in the 401 lecture hall of B9 South Block of our institute. Associate Professors Li Guangqiong and Zhou Yu of the Department of Audiovisual Communication and He Jiada, the founder of Jiulongtou Information Technology Co., Ltd. and other relevant responsible persons attended the competition and made comments.

The purpose of the competition was to encourage the students to actively display their ideas. As Associate Professor Zhou Wei mentioned in his opening address, the “three minutes” and “eight minutes” short films created by the famous directors Chen Kexin and Zhang Yimou are really artistic treasures in micro movies, and can be used for reference in many ways. As a new successor, we should actively explore and learn from experience and step by step, closer to mature media people.

There are a total of nine contestants participating in the competition: Huayuan Visualizer, deep visual, short-reading media culture, Coke, spotlight, eight-barrel, Rosette, Iliad, and shelled eggs. Each group of players brought with their different styles of project presentations, and the theme of the project is also varied: either is life or youth or social rumor. The forms they present were also rich and varied, including small plays, direct talks, and so on. Of course, each group of players was still inexperienced in a way compared with the professional one. In terms of expression, budget, creative ideas and other aspects, every performance had its own spot light. The winners was: Huayuan Visualizer, eight-barrel, and spotlight won the third, second and first prizes respectively. The Alibaba Company's production of micro-films at the conference demonstrated how to perform the theme perfectly without budget, and it is indeed an exemplary classic for students to learn.

At the end of the event, the company leader He Jiada emphasized the importance of good creative ideas in his speech and encouraged the students to dare to highlight themselves. The director producer, Ms. Guo Tao, stated that technology and the origin of life authenticity are important in the creation, and she hopes that Chinese films will increasingly integrate quality with marketing. Mrs. Chen Yunahao, the CEO of one makeup company, described her own process of becoming a founder step by step from the graduates, advocating students to seize the opportunity of life to realize their dreams as soon as possible.
