Zhao Hong

Zhao Hong

Born in Yueyang, Hunan Province in July 1966, with a PhD in Journalism, who is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Journalism and Communication, South China University of Technology, and a member of the school's academic committee. He previously served as the director and associate editor of the news editing department at Southern Daily Press, and the vice dean of the School of Journalism and Communication at South China University of Technology. He is a standing director of the Chinese Society for the History of Journalism Education, the vice chairman of the editorial committee of the Guangdong Publishing Association, a standing director of the Guangdong Journalism Society, an expert reviewer for dissertations at the State Council Academic Degrees Committee, and an expert in the Guangdong Digital Publishing Expert Database. He has published 8 monographs and over 30 papers in core Chinese journals. His main research areas include: modern Chinese social thought, Chinese journalism history, publishing theory and practice, and rural communication and Chinese society.
