In April 28th, Gradudate Stduents' Media forum“Focus on Society, Innovate the Practice jointly hosted by School of Journalism and Communication of South China University of Technology and School of Journalism of Guangxi University was held in Room 505 of School of Journalism of Guangxi University. The participants of School of Journalism and communication, South China University of Technology were as follows: vice president Zhu Jianfei, deputy party secretary Huang Guangfa, professor Huang Youdong ,Liu Zhongbo, counselor Huang Zhenhong.The participants of School of Journalism of Guangxi University were as follows:vice president Li Qinglin, teacher Qin Zhe, Zhang Ming, student league secretary Lei Yuanyuan. Totally ,there were more than 50 people at present. 

At the beginning of the forum, Professor Li Qinglin delivered a speech for this forum.He pointed out that it has a saying of “ Guangdong and Guangxi from a family” in terms of the close geographical position and historical tradition. Not only will the forum promote academic and emotional communication by learning with each other, but it will contribute to cooperation and exchanges of Guang Dong and Guang Xi. We must seize the historic opportunity provided by The Belt and Road , inheriting the academic spirit, improving the quality of the forum, and developing by means of cooperation, which can help us achieve professional and academic progress. Professor Li Qinglin stated that this forum was a good start, we shall manage to make good result, which included the spread nationwide and the creation of a brand forum of graduate students.

More than 20 students from the both university expressed their opinion on the development of media at the sharing phase. They were questioned and inquired by the teachers and interacted positively with the other students at present. The forum committee selected the good papers on the basis of the quality and the students’ performance of their presentation. Professor Liu Zhongbo made a good comment on the papers on behalf of the committee at the end of the prize-giving.

At last, professor Zhu Jianfei delivered the conclusive speech: “With the hard-work of us ,the forum ended up successfully ,which will be held consecutively. We should pay more attention to the media development in order to make our paper more concentrated and more normative, as well as more critical. There has been four suggestions: First, we should focus on both media hotspot and the focus of our times. Second, exploration of the media confusion and the highlight of the forum are both important. Third, let’s fashion the forum into a brand with a nation-wide influence. Finally, we will meet each other the next year in SCUT.
