Skillfully pass overwhelmed and accurate shot one after another by the players, while, audience cheered again and again.

  The Splendid basketball game between teachers and students was beginning at teaching area in the afternoon NOV.22. The whole game constantly surprised and could be described as one climax after another, because all the players’ performance excellently. So it was very close between the score of two teams, and finally, they were tied with 53:53.

  During the first section, the teachers performed very well, especially vice president Jianfei Zhu and Deputy secretary Xun Meng. They helped the team of teacher gain the initiative through their tacit cooperation and high hit rate. And the students gradually entered the state, for example, the offensive and the defensive all performed well and with the outstanding shows of Jianpeng Wu and Jiahui Yu, the students got 2 point lead.

  The competition became more intense and tensional during the second and third section. The teachers performed slow and steady and had great teamwork because of experience, while the students played fast because they were stronger and younger. At the end of the third section the teachers lost with 38:41.  

  Award ceremony for this season of basketball game held at the rest time. The top 3 of men was the 08 advertising class B, the 08 advertising class A, and the 10 edit class, while the top 3 of women was the 09 communication class, 10 communication class and 10 edit class. And the MVP player belong to Junyao Xu from 08 advertising class B and Yang Li from 09 communication class, while the best Rookie was Kangrui Li from 11 edit class and Baima Kangzhu from 11 communication class.

  The game was going on and the teachers played better and better, with 3 points go-ahead at the last one minute. However, in the last seconds, Jiahui Yu played an important role with getting 3 points at the critical time, so that they caught up with the teachers with the same score 53. And this result made all people happy.

  Although the game was over, the happiness it brought still continued, and the audiences sang a high praise to the game. This kind of game not only enhanced the basketball skill of players, but also promoted the friendship between the students and teachers.

  Thus, as a part of the series of 2011 Science and Technology Festival, the SJC Freshman welcome basketball game ended. We believe all the players and staffs would gain a treasurable and unforgettable memory. And we were looking forward to the next basketball season!
