The final’s debate competition of the freshman, the Series activities of “Passing accompanied with love” of SJC was beginning at B9-306 in the evening, Nov.29. The four teams disputed heatedly around the two phenomenons of communication. During the debating the truth was out, the facts become clearer and the players’ deeper understanding of the problems. After the fierce competition, the edit won the first place, the advertising class A won the second, and the advertising class B was the third.

  First, it was to compete for third place. The advertising class A who was the supporter clamming that it was better than harm to tweet viewer watching and reporting online. And the class of communication class was the opponent. Their point of debate was whether the tweet viewers had the effect on our society, and what the effects were. Liuqian Wu, the second supporter, won the applause from audience but criticize from judges when she asked the third player of counter-side. The opponent stress just “watching” at the beginning, but then called that watching online would weak the thought and made the society impetuously. So the judges criticized these two opinions was self-contradictory. At last, the best debater was Lunjia Wang who come from 2011communication class, and the advertising class B won the competition.

  After the first game, there was the final competition between the edit class and advertising class A .This time the issue is “the implant ads is good or not”. The opponent assumed that this kind of ads invaded the option of people, and moreover, the actors would lose the moral integrity because of money. The two sides concentrated on the war of words, bypassing the opponent's language trap, rushing the examples of their own beneficial debate. And finally, Zixuan Peng, the student of advertising class A, got the best debater award because of his beautiful answer, and the edit class won the champion.

  During the debate the truth was becoming clearer. The competition showed the active thinking, careful logic of students. The most important thing was no longer the results of the competition, but the process of competition. We may wish all the students would get harvest growth.
