On October 7, 2020, the finals of the 25th China Daily "21st Century·Coca-Cola Cup" National English Speaking Competition (NESC) draw to a successful close in Guangzhou. XIAO Xueling, a junior from School of Business Administration, won the national second prize with her outstanding performance in the fierce competition.
Kicked off in September last year, this year’s competition went through different stages including on-line selection contest, telephone oral test and district competition. With her solid professional knowledge and outstanding speech skill, Xueling won the Guangdong selection round and entered the national finals as the college representative of Guangdong Province.
The School of Business Administration always attaches great importance to the diversified training and all-round development of students. Students are encouraged to actively participate in various competitions to develop their teamwork abilities, creative thinking and practical skills.
About NESC: First launched in 1996, sponsored by the China Daily and organized by the 21st Century English Education Media, the NESC is the China’s qualifying round for the International Public Speaking Competition (IPSC) held in London, UK every year.
