A new study season has come and there are 128 new postgraduates joined in our big family of the School of Light Industry and Engineering this year. In the morning of September 14th, 2017, the first meeting as well as enrollment education activity was held between new postgraduates and lead faculty members of the school in Room N.101 of building N.33. The dean, Professor Fachuang Lu, the secretary, Wenjian Zhu, the executive vice-Dean, Professor Chuanfu Liu, the vice-Dean, Professor Jun Li and related teachers attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by the vice-secretary, Xunen Tan.
Professor Lu firstly gave a speech titled with “Research and Life: a wonderful journey”. He took his own experiences of study, research and work as example, encouraged all students to improve themselves by discovering and managing all the opportunities during their research and growth.
Professor Liu explained in details about “why”, “what” and “how” three important questions about study, and also emphatically stressed the importance of laboratory safety and the compliance of academic ethics from his speech “how to survive from postgraduates study”. He talked how to live with postgraduate study life smoothly from different aspects such as study, research, life and so on.
Furthermore, safety officer of the school, Yaqi Chang, had a detailed and comprehensive introduction about the laboratory safety criteria. Primary tutor of postgraduates, Jinglei Tai, gave very practical advices about the management of postgraduates study. Postgraduate supervisor of the school, Liu Yang, gave important alerts about the safety issues during daily study life of the postgraduates.
Education meeting of new postgraduates enrollment of the School of Light Industry and Engineering 2017 was finally successfully accomplished.
