On April 25th, “No.41 South China Humanities Forum” was held in room 201. The theme of the forum was “to learn and implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping”. Ding Jinqing, the director of Propaganda Department of Guangdong Party Committee, was invited to give a special report. The dean Liu Shixin presided over the forum, which all teachers and students attended.
Firstly, Ding Jinqing, stressed the needs to thoroughly study the instructions of Guangdong’s work, and earnestly grasp the requirements of “Four Adherence, Three Support, Two Forefront”, which he believed was a major theoretical system whose internal relationship between them was mutual influence. He also pointed out that Guangdong lied in the strategic and leading position, so that it must fully play as a pioneer in reform and opening up, especially in the economic aspect. After ensuring the stable output, it was necessary to help the backward areas.
Finally, Ding Jinqing pointed out that professors in School of Marxist should attach great importance to ideological work, and adhere to correct political direction and principles, in order to ensure the leading position of Marxist and firm self-confidence in road, system and culture.
