Introduction of Mo Yueyun

Yueyun Mo, CPC member, Ph.D., is a Grade-2 professor and doctoral supervisor at South China University of Technology (SCUT). He serves as Director of the Center for Marxist Theory Research and Director of the United Front Theory and Policy Research Office at SCUT.

He pursued undergraduate and graduate studies at Guangxi Normal University and later earned his doctorate from Hunan Normal University. At SCUT, he has held successive appointments as Head of the Department of Social Sciences, Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Dean of the School of Politics and Public Administration.

His main social positions include:

1. Special-appointed member of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC)

2. Council member of the China United Front Research Association

3. Vice president of the Guangdong Provincial Association for Party History

4. Deputy secretary general of the Guangdong Provincial Association for United Front Theory

5. Member of the Guangdong Provincial Steering Committee for Ideological and Political Theory Courses

6. Academic adviser to the Guangdong Institute of Public Administration

 

For more than two decades, Professor Mo has taught and conducted research on Marxist theory and public administration. His primary research interests are the Sinicization of Marxism, Party history and Party building, united-front theory, and government governance.

He has:

1. Led more than ten national and provincial-level research projects

2. Published nine books (including co-authored works)

3. Authored over 110 journal articles in Marxist Studies, Educational Research, Ethno-National Studies, CPC History Research, Academic Research, and more than twenty other academic periodicals

4. Received five provincial awards for research and teaching achievements

5. Been honored as an “Outstanding Teacher of Marxist Theory and Ideological-Moral Courses” in Guangdong Province and as a “Excellent Teachers in Southern Guangdong”
