The college currently has two doctoral programs and postdoctoral research stations in the first level discipline of physics and the second level discipline of physical electronics. Physics is a key discipline in Guangzhou and has been ranked in the top 1% of ESI global rankings since 2011. There are six provincial and ministerial level scientific research platforms, including Guangdong Key Laboratory of Fiber Laser Materials and Application Technology, Guangdong Special Fiber Materials and Devices Engineering Technology Research and Development Center, Guangdong Optoelectronic Engineering Technology Research and Development Center, Guangdong University Semiconductor Lighting Engineering Technology Research Center, Guangdong Third Generation Semiconductor Materials and Devices Engineering Laboratory, and Guangzhou Key Laboratory of Wide Bandgap Semiconductor Chips and Application Systems. There are also two provincial demonstration centers for physics experiment teaching and electronic process experiment teaching in Guangdong Province. The college has two undergraduate majors, Applied Physics and Optoelectronic Information Science and Engineering (all of which are national first-class undergraduate major construction sites), and recruits master's students in five majors including Theoretical Physics, Condensed Matter Physics, Optics, Acoustics, and Physical Electronics. It also recruits doctoral students and postdoctoral staff in Physics and Physical Electronics.

Job Requirements

Applicants should have a doctoral degree, strong teaching abilities, and other necessary business skills for the position, and be capable of teaching courses related to the discipline and major.
1. Professor: Under the age of 50, generally should have no less than 5 years of teaching experience in higher education at home and abroad, and should hold a senior professional technical position or hold a deputy professional technical position for more than 5 years;
2. Associate Professor: Under the age of 45, generally should have no less than 3 years of teaching experience in higher education at home and abroad, and should hold a deputy professional technical position or hold an intermediate professional technical position for more than 3 years;
3. Lecturer: Under the age of 35, excellent doctoral or postdoctoral researcher.
