I. College Introduction
The School can be traced back to the establishment of the University Physics Teaching and Research Office in 1952.The college currently has two doctoral programs and postdoctoral research stations in the first level discipline of physics and the second level discipline of physical electronics. Physics is a key discipline in Guangzhou and has been ranked in the top 1% of ESI global rankings since 2011. We have four provincial-level research platforms, including Guangdong Optoelectronic Engineering Technology Research and Development Center, Guangdong University Semiconductor Lighting Engineering Technology Research Center, Guangdong Third Generation Semiconductor Materials and Devices Engineering Laboratory, and Guangzhou Key Laboratory of Wide Bandgap Semiconductor Chips and Application Systems. We also have two provincial-level demonstration centers, Guangdong Physics Experiment Teaching and Guangdong Electronic Process Experiment Teaching. The college has a complete talent cultivation chain from undergraduate, master's, doctoral to postdoctoral, with two undergraduate majors in Applied Physics and Optoelectronic Information Science and Engineering (all of which are national first-class undergraduate major construction points). II. Research Areas
The School of Physics and Optoelectronics focuses on cutting-edge research. Its areas include condensed matter physics, exploring material properties; optoelectronics, developing devices like lasers; quantum physics, delving into quantum phenomena; and applied physics for technological innovations.
III. Qualifications and Positions
1. Applicants should be in compliance with and have no violations of laws and regulations, have passion for higher education, be in good physical and mental health, boost good character and professional ethics, and be generally under the age of 35;
2. Applicants should be either doctors who have obtained a doctoral degree within 3 years or fresh graduates who have passed the PhD oral defenses.

1.Annual salary: 200,000-320,000CNY before tax, plus “Five Insurances and One Fund” (pension, medical insurance, unemployment insurance, work injury insurance and maternity insurance, and housing fund) as other staff of the same level.
2.Scientific research rewards: The post-docs will receive scientific research rewards and other funding or bonuses provided by the School and the cooperative supervisors. (The supervisor can provide a bonus of 30,000-50,000 CNY according to your research results undertaken while you are in SCUT. The specific amount will be co-decided by the supervisor and the post-docs.)
3.Housing and allowances: The post-docs will get housing allowances or will be provided with a flat.
4.Schooling for children: Kids of the post-docs can get enrolled by Kindergarten and Primary School on campus.
5.The university encourages and supports outstanding post-docs to research positions after leaving the station. Under the same circumstances, priority will be given to post-docs with particularly excellent results.
6.The university encourages and supports post-docs to apply for various post-doctoral talents projects and research projects of national and Guangdong provinces. Details are as the following table:
V. Employment Management
1. In principle, the time at the station for Type I and II post-docs should be no less than 3 years, and Type III should be 2-4 years.
2. Post-docs can apply for professional titles (qualifications) according to the school professional title review regulations while they are at the station.

3. After the approval (about 1 month) is passed, the university will notify the applicant to handle the procedures of entering the station.
