吴竞,广东工业大学教授是超快自旋电子学领域的实验物理学家,研究方向为磁动力学与自旋存储技术。她在约克大学(英国)从事学术研究长达25年,目前受聘为广东工业大学特聘教授。 她搭建了英国最早的时间分辨磁光克尔效应(TR-MOKE)泵浦-探测系统之一,在《物理评论快报》《物理评论B》《自然-通讯》《先进材料》《应用物理快报》等国际顶级期刊发表论文100余篇。受施普林格(Springer)邀请,担任国际咨询委员会委员,并为Springer出版的《自旋电子学手册》撰写了“动态自旋测量技术”章节。
讲座内容简介:
The field of light control of magnetism aims to overcome bottlenecks in speed and density of magnetic storage by using lasers to achieve ultrafast control of magnetism. I will start this talk from its application on Heat-Assisted Magnetic Recording (HAMR) technology, which leverages laser heating to assist magnetic reversal (PRB 2010). Then the first demonstration of dual-pump techniques for precise optical manipulation of magnetism during ultrafast demagnetization phenomena (PRB 2016). Later, we decoupled thermal effects from the helicity effect of light in all-optical induced magnetization switching by applying dual-pump technique, and reported for the first time that optical-induced switching occurred within 460 fs after laser excitation (APL2018, RM2022). Finally, I present our recent work on optical control of fundamental magnetic interactions like RKKY coupling and magnetic anisotropy (Nat Comm 2025). This paves the way for directly writing complex magnetic structures with light, opening a new era for the field of spintronics.
