The School of Medicine held the lecture on 2021 National Nutrition Week: Popular Science Lectures for University Students

On the evening of May 23, Fu Juan, a teacher of the School of Medicine gave a lecture on National Nutrition Week: Popular Science Lectures for University Students in conference room B2-101. It is a surprise for students who are used to lectures on the frontiers of molecular biology from academic gurus.

Fu Juan analyzed the current diets of university students and practically provided students with reasonable meal planning and selective extra meals strategies, as well as how to use diet to prevent diseases. Fu Juan gave a comprehensive explanation of university students' diet, nutrition, and disease prevention in plain language, and guided students to cultivate a healthy diet concept and enhance physical fitness to resist diseases. The students were very active in the question and answer session. And at the end of the lecture, some of them asked various questions and expressed their strong interest in nutrition.

This year is the beginning of the 14th Five-Year Plan period. To advance the Healthy China Action Plan(2019-2030) and National Nutrition Plan(2017-2030), and response to the call of “advance the healthy diet, and enhance the public health and nutrition” of Chinese Nutrition Society, as well as follow the theme “Doing Practical Things for Teachers and Students”, the School of Medicine held the interesting popular science lectures on Dietary Nutrition and Disease Prevention. During the lecture, Fu Juan call on more people to pay attention to the healthy diet as a primary prevention, and use the “dietary nutrition” as a sharp weapon to win the battle against the epidemic.
