On 14 June morning, medical school in South China university of technology, holds the 2019-year annual lecture for undergraduate course teaching innovation activities. Professor Zhong Shizhen, the founder of our clinical anatomy and the Chinese academy of engineering, is invited and gives a lecture going through change;playing a supporting role.” The relevant persons in charge of medical school and part of the teachers and students participate in the activities.
Zhong Shizhen is a 94-year-old academician, with sprightly appearance and clear logic. He first reviews the experience of the Chinese nation: bullying sick man of Asia, brave to resist the invaders in the Anti-Japanese War, founding new China, turbulent era of cultural revolution and reform and opening up.Zhong Shizhen Listens to those songs with the imprint of age with participants, takes the teachers and students to enjoy the one inch was an inch of blood, hundreds of young ten hosts the heroic.
The Lecture
Combining his own life experience, Zhong Shizhen tells the story of his perseverance in pursuing truth and knowledge in turbulent times and under extremely difficult circumstances. He insisted on studying cast specimens of human pipes under limited conditions. Later, with the spring breeze of reform and opening up and the solid technical foundation laid at that time, the Human Body Science Museum was built as a brilliant academic window, which became a very influential pioneering work in the field of anatomy. At present, Human Body Science Museum has become a large scale, famous at home and abroad, and distinctive scientific research base and a popular science education exhibition place.
As a medical leader, Zhong Shizhen is not only obsessed with scientific research, but also with the world, keeping pace with the times, encouraging teachers and students to admit the gap, work hard and innovate, so that they can understand the past and pursue a better future.
