The development of CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing technologies has revolutionized biomedical research and discovery and holds great promise for the treatment of diseases that currently have no cure. However, the safe and effective application of this technology in a therapeutic setting remains challenging. Our research focuses on the application of CRISPR gene editing technologies for the treatment of cancer and monogenetic disease. We have developed a novel technology that allows the safe and efficient delivery of CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing technology in a wide variety of cell types both ex vivo, in T cells (for immunotherapy) or organoids (for diagnostic purposes) as well as in vivo for the treatment of monogenetic disorders.
