Research Fields:

1. Biomarkers of intervertebral disc and degeneration;

2. Degeneration mechanism and regeneration strategies of musculokeletal disorders;

3. Origin, migration and differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells;

  

Achievements:

Have published 20 SCI papers, among which 10 as the first/co-first/correspondence author, and one has been elected as highly cited paper in ESI basic scientific indicators database. Currently in charge of one NSFC young investigator program, two small projects from the University of Hong Kong, and one talent introduction program from South China University of Technology. Also have participated in one NSFC program and one GRF program from Hong Kong RGC as the co-investigator.

Used to be a PBL (Problem-based learning) tutor in the University of Hong Kong. Now undertaking the undergraduate course of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in SCUT.

Now act as a reviewer for several SCI journals , including e Cells and Materials Journal IF 4.886),Journal of Cellular Physiology (IF 4), Current Stem Cells Research & Therapy IF 2.212),Journal of Orthopaedic Research IF 2.986), BMC Musculoskeletal Disorders IF 1.717.
