On February 11, 2025, the 2025 IUPAC Global Women’s Breakfast - China Chapter (Guangzhou Session) was successfully held at the State Key Laboratory of Luminescent Materials and Devices (SKLLMD) of South China University of Technology (SCUT). Approximately 30 outstanding female researchers in chemistry from 10 universities across the Greater Bay Area, including SCUT, Sun Yat-sen University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), and Shenzhen University, gathered to exchange ideas and share insights on topics such as Interdisciplinary Research and Innovation, Building Harmonious Mentor-Student Relationships, Career Development for (Young) Female Scientists, and Women’s Contributions and Influence in Science and Technology.  The forum provided a platform for sharing insights and addressing both opportunities and challenges facing women in the field of chemistry.

The IUPAC Global Women's Breakfast (GWB), as reported, is a philanthropic initiative organized by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) specifically for female researchers in chemical sciences. This program aims to foster professional development and build confidence among women chemists worldwide.
