According to the list of Highly Cited Researchers 2020 identified by Clarivate, a total of 6167 researchers from over 60 countries and regions have been recognized as “Highly Cited Researchers”. Mainland China is home to 770 researchers on the list, whilst South China University of Technology has 13 researchers, and among them, the School of Materials Science and Engineering (SMSE) is proud to have 7 scholars named in it, with 4 in the category of materials science, 3 in interdisciplinary area, and 2 in chemistry. Yong Cao and Fei Huang are included in two fields, and Min Zhu and Yuguang Ma are included in the list for the first time.
