On April 21, 2018, Appointment Ceremony of External Supervisors and Seminar on Undergraduate Teaching, chaired by Anqiang Zhang, Vice Directot of the Department was held by Department of Polymer Materials Science and Engineering of SMSE in Room 205, Building No. 14. Vice Dean Suhong Yin, Deputy Secretary Shuli Peng, over 20 experts in the polymer industry all over the country, and teacher representatives of the department attended the meeting. Suhong Yin, Vice Dean of SMSE, gave a welcome speech and introduced the second professional engineering education certification for Polymer Materials and Engineering. After that, appointment letters were issued to external supervisors for polymer major by school leaders.

Director Zhang introduced the current situation of the Department, the revising directions of students’ training and teaching plan (2017 edition) for the major, and the deficiencies and improving measures in practical training of the major, hoping that cooperation and continuous support could be provided by different practice bases and external supervisors.

Subsequently, in the seminar on undergraduate teaching, discussions and suggestions on year-4 undergraduate practices, revision of training and teaching plan and methods for improving students’ comprehensive capabilities were made by external experts and other participants.
