The presentation will focus on an introduction to Cell Press, followed by a focus on Chem, including why Chem was launched, and how it has evolved since the first issue in July 2016. I will move on to show case successes and future developments as well as introduce other new titles launched or nearing launch at Cell Press. Finally, I will finish by provide some tips on how to improve your chances of getting published in high impact journals.

Chem is the first chemistry journal from Cell Press and sister journal to Cell. It is launched to publish high-profile papers in general chemistry subject and provides a home for insightful/game changing research for potential solutions to the global challenges of tomorrow. The scopes of Chem is strongly connected to the United Nation Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG). As the premier journal of Cell Press as well as Cell, Chem is devoted to contribute positive impact of chemistry on society and targeting to be one of the leading journals in Chemistry. The first partial impact factor of Chem released in June 2018 is 14.1.

Dr. Jiqing Sun, Assistant Editor of Matter, Cell Press
Matter is launched by Cell Press, sister journal to Cell, Chem and Joule. It is launched to publish high-profile papers in the field of material science, providing a platform for the innovative material papers from all fields, including bio-material, energy material and optical material, etc. The scope of Matter is based on the general field of material science, from nano to macro, fundamentals to application, encompassing the previously unknown and the innovative. As the flagship journal of Cell Press, Matter aims to be one of the leading journals in the material field, guiding the development of innovative materials. The first issue will be released in July 2019.
