In order to train and improve the fire fighting awareness and practice skill for all the staffs and students, School of Materials Science and Engineering held a fire drill at 16:30 p.m. on June 1st in Building 8.

   Under the instruction of Mr. Fu and Mr. Yan, the safety director of our School, the security personnel made smoke to trigger the alarm. All the teachers and students in Building 8 ran out quickly when the alarm went off. They gathered at the designated area within 3 mins. Then, they were trained by the staffs from the Campus Security to use the fire extinguisher in proper way. This event won acclaim from all the participants and Campus Security.

   We conduct fire drills several times a year to ensure that the staffs and students in our School know how to use an extinguisher properly and adopt corresponding measures when they are in danger.
