On Oct. 24, the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) published the list of the 2016 National Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars. Among them, Prof. Su Shijian was from School of Materials Science and Engineering. Up till now, SCUT has 37 faculty members included in this foundation. Since 2012, there were 3 academic staff members from our school newly added in the national program.
Professor Su Shijian’s research focuses on organic light-emitting materials and devices. He has published more than 90 articles in academic journals including Advanced Materials, Advanced Functional Materials and Chemistry of Materials, and has been granted 20 Chinese invention patents. Some of the OLED material technologies developed by him and his team have been transferred to commercial products that are widely adopted at home and abroad.
