
The lists of the awards
Recently, the Ministry of Education ([2016] Document No. 1)released the Annual Outstanding Scientific Achievements of the Universities in 2015. South China University of Technology has achieved 8 awards, including 2 First Prizes, 5 Second Prizes and 1 Young Scientist Award, ranking No.11 across the nation. It is the best historical achievements.
Professor Fei Huang, from School of Materials Science and Engineering, South China University of Technology, won the First Young Scientist Award. His main research direction lies in the efficient organic polymer photovoltaic materials. He has published more than 140 SCI papers, which have been cited more than 4600 times. Young Scientist Award was first set up in 2015, aiming at rewarding young university teachers who are less than 40 years old and have exerted a certain influence of original achievements. This year, 8 young scientists won the awards. They were respectively from Peking University, Tsinghua University, Beijing Union Medical College, Nanjing University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, University of Science and Technology of China, and South China University of Technology.
