Biography:Prof. Christine Bressy obtained her Ph.D. degree in 1996 at the University of Montpellier (France). Following her Ph.D., she was appointed at the University of Toulon (France) to work on antifouling coatings. There, she worked on the development of new tin-free acrylic binders for self-polishing marine paints. Prof. Bressy has over 20 years of project/program experience in her areas of expertise including polymer chemistry and physic-chemistry, and the development of antifouling coatings. Currently, she works on the development of new antifouling paints that have lower impact on the environment and that are efficient over a long term period. She is currently a member of COIPM and was the chair of the 18thInternatioanl Congress on Marine Corrosion and Fouling in 2016. She has published many papers on Chemical Reviews, Biofouling, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces and Polymer Chemistry et al. She was in charge of ECOPAINT PACA project (2007-2011), European Defence Agency project with European navies (Antifouling Coatings for War Ships, 2008-2011), SeaPaint (RAPID, 2012-2014), AF-ElectroCoatings (ANR 2013-2016) and BIOPAINTROP project (ANR CD2I; 2012-2016). Prof. Bressy is also involved in testing and expertise proposals to industrial customers in the antifouling paint area.
