Introduction to the Speaker:
Dr. DessiKoleva is Assistant Professor in Section Materials and Environment (M&E),Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences (CiTG), TU Delft. She received her Ph.D. degree in TU Delft under thesupervision of Prof.dr.ir. Klaas van Breugel and Prof.dr. Hans de Wit in 2007. Her research interests include: corrosion and cathodic protection, concrete and reinforced concrete durability, nano-materials for corrosion control, electrodeposition, waste initialization for corrosion control, self-healing of cement-based materials and corrosion in reinforced concrete, and green solutions in civil engineering. In the recent 5 years, she published 2 book chapters (1 as first author; I as co-author), 22 journal papers (2 as sole author; 11 as first author; 9 as co-author) and more than 30 refereed proceedings papers. She is the active member of The Electrochemical Society (USA) and the International Society of Electrochemistry (invited), editorial board member of the Open Construction and Building Technology Journal, and expert-evaluator for European Commission-Directorate General for Research and Innovation. She is also the peer reviewer for many international scientific journals, including: ElectrochimiicaActa, Corrosion Science, Corrosion, Cement and Concrete Research, Cement and Concrete Composites and etc.
