Brief introduction to Dr. Xiaozhou Liao       

Dr. Xiaozhou Liao is an associate professor in the University of Sydney. He conducted his PhD research under the supervision of Prof. David Cockayne FRS in The University of Sydney from 1997-1999. He was awarded an Australian Postdoctoral Fellowship after his PhD. He moved to Los Alamos National Laboratory in USA to take up a Director Funded Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2001 and was a research scientist in the University of Chicago from 2004 to 2006. Dr. Liao returned to the University of Sydney as a lecturer in June 2006 and was awarded aprestigious Queen Elizabeth II Fellowship in 2007. Dr. Liao has been working on the transmission electron microscopy of a wide range of materials, including semiconductors, superconductors, and metals and alloys. He has published over 130 journal papers which have collectively received ~ 3,500 citations. The h-index of his publications has reached 37
