On October 28th,Dr.Tao Wei, Assistant Professor from Hong Kong Chinese University was appointed as SCUT adjunct professor.The ceremony was held in room 205,14 building and about 50 teachers and students participated the ceremony.
After the ceremony, Dr.Tao Wei gave a talk on the title” Microgels at the oil-water interfaces”, in the speech Dr.Wei mainly introduced the definition of micro-gel, micro-gels such as application and prospect of micro-gel and show their own research in this area to the students.
According to the introduction of the leaders of our school, Dr Wei Tao’s research area is closely related to the polymer material of our school, appointed Dr Wei Tao as adjunct professor is good for the cooperation of the two universities on education and academic research.

1 Interaction of surfaces modified with macromolecules, surfactants and biomolecules.
2 Functional materials from emulsions stabilized by colloidal particles
3 The packing and self-assemblies of colloidal particles in liquid-liquid interface
4 Design, synthesis and assembly of functional colloidal particles
