College Leaders Visit Alumni Associations in Shenzhen and Foshan to Explore Innovative Development of Legal Education in the AI Era

Recently,Professor Jiang Wuzhen, Dean of the School of Law at South China University ofTechnology (SCUT), and Professor Chen Xiaoping, Party Secretary of the School,led a delegation to visit the alumni associations in Foshan and Shenzhen. Duringthe visits, the delegation held in-depth discussions with alumni on topics suchas the development of legal education in the new era and the training of futurelegal professionals, reflecting the School’s strong commitment to strengthening alumni relationsand building lasting connections with its graduates.

At the symposium, Dean JiangWuzhen made an in-depth analysis of the application prospects of AI technologyin legal practice. He emphasized that in the face of new technological changes,law schools must actively promote the innovation of education models and striveto cultivate interdisciplinary talents who are proficient not only inprofessional legal knowledge but also equipped with interdisciplinary literacy.Party Secretary Chen Xiaoping stated that the college will further expand itsconnections with alumni associations across various regions, build a platformfor in-depth integration of industry, academia, research and application tofacilitate communication and cooperation, and promote the coordinateddevelopment of alumni and the college. Alumni expressed their views extensivelyon topics such as the development trends of the legal industry and thecultivation of interdisciplinary talents, noting that they will give full playto their professional advantages and resources to support the innovativedevelopment of their alma mater.

This visitstrengthened the connection between the School of Law and its alumniassociations in Foshan and Shenzhen, further uniting alumni support as apowerful driving force for the School’s development. Moving forward, the School of Law atSouth China University of Technology will continue to deepen its alumniengagement efforts, integrating alumni resources and fostering closercollaboration with graduates from all sectors. Together, they aim to contributecollective wisdom to the advancement of the rule of law in China, whilesupporting the economic and social development of the region.
