
The results ofthe 2024 Guangdong Provincial Teaching Achievement Awards in Degree andGraduate Education, hosted by the Guangdong Society for Academic Degrees andGraduate Education, were recently announced. A total of 77 outstanding teachingachievements were recognized across the province.
Among them, twoentries from the School of Law, South China University of Technology (SCUT)received top honors:
Professor HuangZhongshun was awarded the Grand Prize (Special Prize) for his project titled LitigationStrategies for Emergency Response Costs in Environmental Pollution Cases — A Case Study of theEnvironmental Pollution Dispute Involving the Yongping Petroleum TransportationFleet of Yan’an County and Defendants Bai and Gao.
Professor HuangXudong received the First Prize for his project titled The Rule of LawBehind Green Mountains and Clear Waters: How Procuratorial Public InterestLitigation Supports Ecological Restoration — A Case Study of the Solid Waste Pollution DisputeInvolving Wei’s Waste Treatment Plant and Li Mouqiang.
These awardsreflect the School’s continuous efforts in integrating real-case teaching intolegal education and its firm commitment to cultivating high-level legal talentsin the field of environmental and public interest law.
