From October 12to 15, the final round of the 2024 China International College Students’ Innovation and EntrepreneurshipCompetition was held on-site at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
The legal AIproject titled Lawgorithmic Future — The World's First AI-Powered Legal DisputeResolution Solution Provider, led by He Xiao, a 2022 graduate of theSchool of Law, and supervised by Mr. Liu Kai, successfully advanced through aseries of highly competitive rounds at the university, provincial, and nationalonline evaluation levels.
Withoutstanding performance, the project secured a place in the national finals andwas recognized as the only project from Guangdong Province selected forexhibition at the final competition stage.
After fierce competition, theproject successfully entered the ranking round and ultimately won the GoldAward by ranking first in its group. The achievement was reported by MorningNews on CCTV-13.
Since the launch of thecompetition, the school’sleadership has attached great importance to the project, providingcomprehensive support and guidance to the team. This award is a significantachievement of our school in advancing innovation and entrepreneurshipeducation and the development of new liberal arts.

Over the years, our schoolhas placed great emphasis on students’innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives, encouraging them to activelyparticipate in related practices and providing a broad interdisciplinaryplatform for learning and hands-on experience.
Moving forward, the schoolwill continue to explore new paths for the deep integration of professionaleducation and innovation and entrepreneurship education, further strengtheninnovation and entrepreneurship instruction, deepen interdisciplinaryintegration and the construction of new liberal arts. Rooted in theGuangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, we will strive to be a pacesetterin the development of higher education, and cultivate more outstanding legaltalents with innovative spirit and practical capabilities for the country andsociety.
Team Profile
The LawFuture team focuses onthe research and application of legal artificial intelligence, dedicated to thedeep integration of cutting-edge AI technologies and the legal industry. Itaims to empower the construction of the rule of law through technologicalinnovation and drive the intelligent transformation of legal services. The teamcurrently has 24 members, all with interdisciplinary backgrounds in law andartificial intelligence.
With strong support from theGuangzhou Arbitration Commission, the team has developed the world’s only award-winning judgment generation system not restricted bycase types. Its independently developed legal intelligence engine enablesmulti-dimensional and in-depth case analysis, providing services such asintelligent legal consultation, document generation, and full-process trialsupport.
At present, the team hassuccessfully implemented the intelligent judgment system in the GuangzhouArbitration Commission, committed to comprehensively improving the efficiencyand quality of legal services.
In addition, the team wasselected into the World Internet Cross-border E-commerce Case Collection. Asthe only private enterprise selected in the dispute resolution module, it wasinvited to participate in the formulation of relevant industry standards.Meanwhile, as the sole project from Guangdong Province, it was successfullyincluded in the competition’sachievement exhibition.
All along, the team has keptin mind its goal of building a trusted legal intelligent system for the public,enterprises, government agencies, and judicial and procuratorial organs,empowering the judiciary with AI and contributing to the construction of arule-of-law China.
