
Recently, the Development Center on Degree and Graduate Education of the Ministry of Education issued the Notice on the Completion of 2021 Thematic Case Projects of China Professional Degree Case Center. After a strict evaluation process, the thematic case project Ecological Green Hand in Hand with Procuratorial Blue: Guangzhou Sample of Articulation Mechanism of Compensation for Ecological Environment Damage and Procuratorial Public Interest Litigation (No. ZT-211056102), which was hosted by Associate Prof. Huang Xudong at the SCUT law schoolthe College, was successfully completed.
In 2021, the Development Center on Academic Degrees and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Education (MOE) had launched a call to 55 universities for thematic cases focusing on four themes: Rural Revitalization, Ecological Civilization, Digital China and Common Wealth,with the aim of proposing original ideas, constructing original theories, and better explaining China's great practice and development. The project submitted by Professor Huang Xudong's team was selected after expert evaluation. The project follows President Xi Jinping's thoughts on ecological civilization and the rule of law, summarizes the beneficial exploration of the practical departments in practicing the concept of the environment has a price and the damage is the responsibility, and the mechanism of connecting the compensation for ecological environmental damages with the prosecutorial public interest litigation, as well as guides the study of China's problems. Besides, it also summarizes the experience of China, tells China's story, puts forward China's proposal, and enhances the quality of the training of practical innovative talents.
At present, all the three cases in this project have passed the evaluation, and will be collected in the case database of China Professional Degree Case Center according to the procedure, which will provide references for the universities and teachers across the country to develop cases, research cases, and use cases for teaching.
