Recently, the General Office of the Ministry of Education announced the list of national and provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites in 2019. Our law major was selected as a national first-class undergraduate major construction site, and the intellectual property major was selected as a provincial first-class undergraduate major construction site. Thereinto, our intellectual property major is the only first-class intellectual property major selected of all Guangdong prestigious universities.

It is reported that starting from 2019, the Ministry of Education has launched the “Double Ten Thousand Plan” for the construction of first-class undergraduate majors. It is planned to build about 10,000 national first-class undergraduate majors and about 10,000 provincial first-class undergraduate majors within three years. The selection of the Double Ten Thousand Plan was approved by various universities, reviewed by the competent departments of the universities, reviewed and voted by the Higher Education Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, identified total 4,054 first batch national first-class undergraduate major construction sites, including 1,691 in the central track., 2,363 local tracks, and identified 6,210 provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites.

This selection of the national and provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites is a full affirmation of the major construction, talent cultivation and schooling quality of our faculty. Through the construction of first-class majors, the creation of first-class undergraduate education, the faculty will play an exemplary and leading role and comprehensively enhance their overall strength.
