On January 9, 2016, "Seminar on new development of international trade and investment rules & the construction of Nansha free tradepilot area" was held in the SCUT Law School. Attendees were from the supreme people's court, Tsinghua university, China University of Political Science and Law, Fudan university, Xiamen university and other prestigious law schools. The seminar was presided over by Professor Hongyan Chen. Prof. Liangcheng Li and Deputy Director Zigen Li of Nansha district management committee attended this seminar.

     Mr. Jing-dong Liu, vice President of the fourth court at the supreme people's court, analyzed the current focuses and difficulties inforeign-relatedtrial; Prof. Tingzhong Fu from Tsinghua University analyzed the current situation of China's international shipping center; Professor Guohua Yang from Fudan University and Professor Baihua Gong from Tsinghua university respectively discussed the top legislation design for free-trade area and measures in specific field; Professor Liying Zhang from China University of Political science and Law put forward her own observation on the industrial planning of Nansha free trade pilot area and legal system innovation problem; Professor Yi-xin Liao from Xiamen university suggested the reform of the tax-credits system to better safeguard the legitimate interests of Chinese companies. Dr. Shu Xu from the SCUT Law School made a speech titled “Discussion onthesuingissues of foreign investmentaccesssystem dispute”.
