On June 4, 2016, “The 11th fiscal and taxation law forum in South China” was held in SCUT Law School. The school invited more than 80 experts and practitioners in the research field of fiscal and taxation, finance and tax law. The theme of the forum is " the development of pilotprojects of replacing the business tax with a value-added tax and the reconstruction of the local tax system". The forum’s topic were the following three units: " the difficulties and countermeasures of the optimization design for replacing the business tax with a value-added tax ", “the replacement of business tax with a value-added tax and thelocaltax system construction” "the replacement of business tax with a value-added tax and the new round tax reform". Prof. Fu-qiang Zhang was the chairman of the forum.
